Swing Set Drum Kit at YEA Festival

Today from 10a-4p Dave Ford's interactive art installation, Swing Set Drum Kit, will be at the YEA Festival at Dempster and Hinman.

Stop by and swing and watch this fun, playful, silly art installation make music on a deconstructed set of drums.

If the line is too long, there will be sidewalk chalk to preoccupy yourself with.

Ducks in my garden!

There have been all kinds of ducks, in pairs, flying around the gardens in my neighborhood recently. Just yesterday these two pictured here were lounging right by our back door. They are more than welcome to share our yard but what's with the uptick in duck traffic?

One Facebook friend says the Centennial Park construction might be to blame? Whatever it is, it's kind of cute, but must not be very fun for the ducks. Let me know if I need to build them a shelter or anything.
